One quart of milk paint covers approximately 70 sq. feet. Simply mix this powder with room temperature water - it’s that easy!
A Milk Paint finish is unique and can range from a solid color to a stain, it all depends on how much water you add! It can be used on any porous surface without a primer. It will never chip or peel on porous surfaces as it soaks in and binds with the substrate.
Want to create a solid opaque look? Mix 1 part water to 1 part Milk Paint powder.
Want to mix as a stain? Mix 3 parts water to 1 part Milk Paint powder.
Milk Paint is non-toxic, made from 100% natural ingredients and contains no VOCs! Safe for painting indoors with no toxic odor!
How much will one bag cover?
Coverage depends on the substrate that you're painting. Generally, you can plan on using 1 quart sized bag for a medium sized dresser (and should have paint left over), but, if you're painting a dark surface with a light color, you will often use more paint and will need to apply 3-4 coats of paint to cover the dark substrate vs 1-2 coats (this is typical of all paints).
Milk Paint is known for creating that beautiful, authentic chippy finish, but you can also use a more solid finish if you add bonding agent to your paint to prevent chipping from occurring.
Milk Paint can be sealed using clear furniture wax, antiquing wax, white wax or food safe hemp oil! Wax and hemp oil are available for purchase
